Florence Dennis is a staunch believer that all children have the right to quality education. She is passionate about making sure all children, despite their economic and social condition gain access to the kind of education that empowers them to fully live out their God given potential.

She currently serves as the Manhattan Borough Program Quality Manager for Career and Technical Education (CTE) within New York City Department of Education’ Office of Postsecondary Readiness. In this capacity. Ms. Dennis supports over 60 Career and Technical Education (previously vocational education) programs in the areas of program development, implementation, and the New York State program approval process. She has been with the DOE for the past four years and has truly come to appreciate the transformative power of CTE in the lives of students.

Ms. Dennis is also the founder and CEO of Flows Tasty Treats LLC, a company dedicated to bringing visibility to African foods through the simple joy of snacking.

Ms. Dennis is a people lover! She chooses to see the best in people and always tries to encourage and inspire others to become a better version of themselves. She is spiritually centered and endeavors to walk according to her faith. In her leisure time, she loves to cook, read, listen to music, catch up with friends on the phone or in person, and travel. She says her greatest joy comes from helping others.
